Pet Surgery
At Loving Hearts Pet Hospital, we are well-equipped and prepared to handle all your pet’s surgical care needs. Our hospital is outfitted with cutting-edge equipment, and our knowledgeable team is experienced in using the most modern surgical techniques.

Understanding Our Pet Surgery Services
We understand that this can be a stressful time, which is why we strive to make the procedure as comfortable as possible for your pet and the post-operative care as simple as possible for you.
We start all of our surgeries or anesthetic procedures with a pre-anesthetic exam. Pre-anesthetic blood work is evaluated before anesthesia, and then your pet’s veterinarian determines the best and safest anesthetic protocol for your pet.
All anesthetic procedures are closely monitored by an experienced veterinary nurse, using specialized equipment to track the patient’s blood pressure, ECG, blood oxygen levels, and CO2. Extra care is taken to minimize discomfort after the procedure, including smaller incisions when able, gentle tissue handling, and ensuring a comfortable recovery.
Surgical Procedures
Some of the many surgeries routinely performed in our state-of-the-art surgical suite include:
- Routine spays and neuters
- Dental extractions
- Soft tissue surgeries (including foreign body removal, tumor removal, cystotomy, pyometra)
After the Surgery
Once your pet’s procedure is complete, we will gently move them to the recovery area of our hospital, where we will continue to monitor them as the anesthesia begins to wear off. A member of our staff will contact you to let you know how the surgery went and arrange a time to retrieve your pet. When you arrive, we’ll go over our aftercare instructions, which may include a customized pain management plan to help make the recovery process as comfortable as possible for your pet.
After returning home with your loved one, please do not hesitate to contact us if any questions or concerns arise about the surgery or recovery process. Help is always just a phone call away!
